I always pronounced Smaug as ‘smorg’, but according to that Jonathon Ross show clip it’s ‘smaowg’… What do you say?
(Surely ‘au’ is an ‘or’ sound, as in auto-?)

Just wanted to point out that Forbes added Smaug to their Fictional 15 list. He is currently the 7th wealthiest fictional figure.
Also, the two men above and below him on the list are pretty awesome.
How have they judged Smaug’s wealth though…
